Social Development department reiterates determination to increasing SASSA grants

Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her aid and determination to improving upon South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) products and services through an engagement along with the agency's senior professionals in a strategic planning session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric final exams.
With the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for that National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing eighty one% on the registered pupils while in the education and learning sector.
These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
